By air: The nearest international airport is Toulouse, just over an hour from La Gleyaire, and is well served by direct flights from England. There are also flights to Bordeaux (BA --2 hours drive). Carcassonne (1.5 hours drive) and Bergerac (1.5 hours drive) are served by Ryanair, and Easyjet and Flybe may also be worth exploring for the best deals.
By car: from the following French ports driving times to the house, using mainly the autoroute system, are approximately: Calais 10 hrs; Caen (via Rennes) 8-9 hrs; St. Malo 6-7 hrs. Brittany Ferries and P & O run day and night crossings to the Normandy and Brittany ports.
By train: The TGV runs to Agen, which is about 50 minutes drive away, and also to Toulouse, which is just over an hour.
